LIVING WATERS
Happy Friday, I hope you have had an interesting and pleasant week so far. I hope your day is going well. Welcome to living waters blog, a blog where write-ups that are inspirational, life-giving, truth revealing, soul searching and drawn from scriptures as the Holy Spirit gives guidance are published. I want to talk to you briefly about the vision and mission of this blog. Living waters is water that gives life to wherever and whatever it comes in contact with. Let’s look at the major scripture where this name was gotten.
Eze 47:8-12 (Kjv)
KJV:Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

KJV:And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

KJV:And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

KJV:But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

KJV:And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.
From the above scripture we see the life giving power of this living water. It gave life to the seas, dead fishes and even plants. Please remember that the book of Ezekiel is a prophetic book, so most of its language are o prophetic symbolism. Firstly where would this water come from?, let’s look again at the scripture from verse one

KJV:Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

KJV:Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

KJV:And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

KJV:Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

KJV:Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

KJV:And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

KJV:Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

From verse 1, we see that this water flows from the threshold(altar) of the temple. So this water flows from the house of God, then we see the Son of Man following the instruction of an angel and for every obedience there was an increment in the level of depth of this water he came into. You see, the prophet was busy following and obeying the angel and swimming into more of the waters, he didn’t even know what the water represented or its power. I will come back to that in a bit, do you remember that scriptures says we are temples of the living God and that God doesn’t dwell in temples made by human hands but in our bodies (1 Cor 3:16). Now if you believe that, you realise that the temple here was a prophetic symbolism for believers(i.e our human bodies and the body of Christ). Now from Jesus’ teaching in John 7:37, that this waters represents the mighty personality and power of the Holy Spirit. So Eze 47 makes more sense, the prophet saw the believer and saw the dimensions of anointing we are to work in. In the same way that the prophet always obeyed the angel and got into deeper levels, so also when we get baptised into the Holy Spirit, he begins to teach us, instruct us and guide us, for every instruction obeyed, we become more aligned with Him, so we are able to live out our spiritual realities more. Now we stop at the realisation that we can press into more of him to the point where we can swim but that’s not where the dimension of the Spirit stops. The painful part isn’t that we don’t know how to press into more of him or that we don’t know that there is more to press, the painful part is that we do not even know the potency of what we are pressing into just like the prophet, so the angel had to show the prophet, the potency of this waters. He is also speaking to us, we want to be baptised into the Holy Spirit, we want more of Him but we don’t know the dimensions of power of His personality. The book of Ezekiel shows how that this waters will flow into the east, south, north and west giving life to whatever it comes in contact with. So in summary, living waters is a representation of the Holy Spirit and the book of Ezekiel 47 shows us the dimensions of power of the Holy Spirit and that growth in the realm of the spirit is possible. Many believers have issues with this aspect, they don’t know that they can grow spiritually and as such do not grow.
I believe that in this our time, there will be more demonstrations of the power of God than ever in history. There will be such a demonstration of power, glory and fearlessess in God that will bring the world to it’s knees and back under the leadership and authority of Jesus. But for this manifestation there has to be something first, Jesus first called the Holy Spirit, “the Spirit of Truth” who will lead us into all truth. It means that there has to be a revelation and understanding of truth in the lives of believers and the body of Christ before we can begin to manifest as we see in the scriptures above. This blog which was initially called Espiritus Koinonia but now called Living waters was birthed in my heart by the Holy Spirit( after much time had been taken out to seek his face ) is to be a medium, one of so many that he has began setting up across the globe through other human vessels for the teaching, exposition of spiritual truths as he gives permission and unveils. This blogs aims at the teaching of spiritual truths from scriptures to the end that anyone and everyone who reads them will not only understand them but also put them to practice with proofs. By God’s grace, posts will be published twice in a week either Mondays and Thursdays or Tuesdays and fridays .
