HUNGER FOR MORE 2

          This evening we will be looking at the concluding part of this amazing series titled, "A HUNGER FOR MORE". From the first part of this series, I was asked questions like, what should we hunger for?, more manifestations or more of God?, at what point should we hunger for God, does God ever satisfy or does it ever work?. This questions I hope to address in this part. This isn't really a teaching series, it was laid in my heart as an exhortation series, so my writing style will be alittle different but I am still sure you will be blessed by it.
       Have you ever met believers who do not know more of God than they knew when they first gave their lives to Christ, have you met believers who operate the same spiritual gifts as at when they first gave their lives to Christ?. Have you met believers who stopped growing? Do you know why they stopped growing, Do you know why you stopped growing? Let's look at a few reasons why people stop growing.
1. IGNORANCE:
  Hos 4:6 says, "my people perish of lack of knowledge". Another major growth killer is ignorance, people not knowing that they can grow. Hmm, I was talking to lady some weeks ago and I asked her if she had grown spiritually and she said she didn't know. Most don't even believe that spiritual growth is a possibility. Luke 1:80, tells us that Jesus grew and waxed strong in the spirit. I have an already published series titled "AND THE CHILD GREW", so do well to go through. In that series, we established that spiritual growth is a possibility and how we can grow spiritually. You will be blessed by that series. It is unfair to your generation for any reason whatsoever for you to be comfortable at your present level of growth. IT IS UNFAIR
2. MEDIOCRITY MENTALITY :
         They are certain belief systems I have held onto since my childhood, certain things I believe or know would never happen to me, my wife, my kids, my family, extended family, finances etc that I used to think every other person on planet earth has. I was shocked when I talked to a friend some years and you need to have heard this guy talk. I was like wow, so people think like this. I thought everyone thinks like me. Some persons do not see the need to grow because they believe they are supposed to remain at the current level they are in currently. Like seriously you need to read that "and the child grew" series, try read it up. The reason why persons are lazy is because there is no infusion of the passion for the completion and manifestation of their vision.
                Should our hunger for God ever stop?,  NO. We should desire more of Him at every point of the way. Look through scriptures, you will see that every one who has ever truly hungered and desires more of God has always been satisfied. Sometimes you maybe desiring more of God and it may seem like years before it is answered or worse it may even feel like God isn't interested in satisfying you. Remember scriptures says, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open, ask and you will be given. So God owes it to you to answer you, to satisfy you. Many times Jesus said it, (Matt 5:6, Matt 7:9-11).
